Is It Worth Taking A Pass Plus Course

Approximately less than a minute reading time.

Firstly, what is a pass plus course? Well, a pass plus course is an official course that is regulated by the government to ensure drivers who have just passed their test feel confident on the roads. As you know, when you are learning to drive, you are learning to pass the exam and therefore many areas are not covered in your lessons. This means than when you upgrade from an L to a P you may feel unsure and be looking to improve your skills and confidence. A Pass plus won't save you money as it used to in terms of insurance but it should give you more experience and knowledge about things like:

  • In-Town driving
  • All-weather driving
  • Driving out of towns
  • Night driving
  • Driving on the dual carriageway
  • Driving on the motorway

So is it worth taking a pass plus course? If you want to gain experience and feel more confident on the roads then absolutely, but as a money-saving exercise, not so much.
